We had forgotten what civilization looks like until we arrived in Hong Kong. Its clean, its orderly and the city absolutely sparkles with light and vibrant energy. Kind of like London, kind of like New York and seemingly bigger than both combined. After two-plus weeks of oversized cities with an awful lot of drab apartment buildings Hong Kong looks like a different world. We aren't here long, just a city tour tomorrow and a ride to the airport Sunday. I'm confident we could enjoy a longer stay.
Our first stop after checking in at the hotel? Murphy's Pub for a burger and a beer. God bless the Irish!

Nothing like a pub lunch to make you feel at home.
